KARACHI, July 1: Five ships carrying containers, imported wheat and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Otello Manship, Mol Ability, Harmony to unload and load containers, Sky Ace-1 and Bengal Orchid, both tankers, were berthed after the departure of six.

The departing ships were led by Oel Trust, City of Xiamen, Beluga Fusion, Berdyansk, Hyun Jin Ks-1 and Sky Ace-1, while Mol Ability, Lalazar, Swat, Mitra Bhum, Bengal Orchid, Noor-e-Medina and Otello Manship are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 115,000 tons comprising 27,611 tons of export cargo and 87,366 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: APL Jeddah, APL Dawan, China Star with containers, Lucky Arrow to load cement and Alfa-K to offload 26,500 tons of wheat.
