KARACHI: Power shortfall

KARACHI, June 26: Power shortage in Karachi increased from 180MW to 280MW as the Pakistan Electric Power Company asked the Karachi Electric Supply Company to reduce power import from 500MW to 400MW.

KESC said on Thursday that at around 11am, the KESC was carrying out load-shedding of up to 180MW, when it was asked to reduce power intake from the national grid by 100MW, as the power situation upcountry had worsened, temporarily.—PPI
