Yousuf misses first session

KARACHI, June 20: Pakistan’s frontline batsman Mohammad Yousuf on Friday missed the national team training camp’s opening session which started at the National Stadium here on Friday.

However, rest of the 19 probables assembled and underwent two hours’ training under the supervision of coach Geoff Lawson and support staff.

Pakistan Manager Talat Ali said Yousuf could not reach Karachi due to delay in his flight from Lahore.

Those who attended the training camp included captain Shoaib Malik, Misbah-ul-Haq, Nasir Jamshed, Salman Butt, Yasir Hameed, Bazid Khan, Fawad Alam, Younis Khan, Naumanullah, Shahid Afridi, Sohail Khan, Sohail Tanvir, Rao Iftikhar, Umar Gul, Wahab Riaz, Sarfraz Ahmed, Mansoor Amjad, Saeed Ajmal and Abdur Rauf.
