KARACHI: ‘Hawkesbay warehouses to be razed’

KARACHI, June 20: All the warehouses and godowns along the Hawkesbay Road and near the beach will be razed to facilitate movement of heavy vehicles in the area.

This was stated by City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal during his visit to the area on Friday. He said these structures were hindering movement of vehicular traffic on Hawkesbay Road and creating problems for beach visitors.

The nazim visited the old villages and localities on Hawkesbay and Mauripur and met the local residents.

He told them that it was for the first time in the history of the city that a local government was focusing on rural development. He said that the Hawkesbay Beach was the most beautiful beach in Pakistan and would be made attractive for visitors and foreign tourists. The roads leading to it would be beautified, widened and strengthened, he added.—PPI
