KARACHI, June 12: Five ships carrying containers, magnesium, crude oil and phosphoric acid were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, four more ships to load offload containers and cement also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, San Anmdres, Ville D Aquarius, Mustafa Bey, Chitral, Eastern Tear, Ginga Tiger, Sakura Princess and Kaghan, were busy in loading/offloading cement, rice, magnesium, phosphoric acid, crude oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 88,863 tons comprising 68,810 tons of import and 20,053 tons of export tonnage was handled.

San Andres, Ville D Aquarius and Ginga Tiger sailed out while Eastern Tear was expected to leave the port.
