KARACHI: Recovery of ‘missing’ people urged


KARACHI, April 20: Speakers at a conference held here on Sunday expressed their deep concern over the US military operations in the NWFP and demanded an immediate end to all military operations in the country, especially Balochistan.

The “National Peace Conference”, organised jointly by the Sindh Democratic Forum, SAFCO, Pakistan Peace Coalition, South Asia Partnership and Institute of Labour Education and Research, the moot called for the recovery of more than 8,000 people alleged picked up by intelligent agencies during Gen Musharraf’s tenure as army chief.

Hussain Haroon, Yousuf Mastikhan, Ibrahim Joyo and Abrar Kazi were among those who spoke at the conference.
