KARACHI: Elected govt to decide fate of Cessna

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, March 12: The Sindh caretaker cabinet has left it to the elected government to decide the fate of old Cessna aircraft.

This was agreed upon in a cabinet meeting chaired by the Sindh Chief Minister, retired Justice Abdul Qadir Halepota, here on Wednesday.

The cabinet decided to let the elected government ponder on the aircraft issue and decide to dispose it of or incur expenditures on its repair.

Reviewing the caretaker cabinet’s performance, Mr Halepota expressed satisfaction over successfully completing its task of holding free, fair, transparent and peaceful elections in the province. He appreciated the team spirit among the cabinet members, government officials, and the chief secretary in particular for running the government affairs according to the rules of business. He said the caretaker government had tried to ensure good governance by upholding the interest of the common man.

Later, the chief minister held a meeting with the representatives of Engro Energy Ltd, which is establishing a 250MW power generation plant at Qadirpur in district Ghotki.
