BERLIN, March 7: Around 120,000 of the lowest-priced tickets for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa will be given away to allow people from the country’s lower classes to watch, organisers announced Friday.
Tumi Makgabo, the spokesperson of the South Africa 2010 Local Organising Committee (SALOC) made the announcement at Berlin’s travel trade fair with the cost of the free tickets set to be met by the event’s sponsors.—AFP
