KARACHI, March 7: Four ships carrying containers, diesel oil and iron ore arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Berth occupancy stood at 60 per cent at the wharves where seven ships, Maersk Novazano, Al-Mariyah, Maersk Davao, Silver Gate, Karavados, Princess Natalie and Hellen, were busy in loading and unloading containers, wheat, coke and palm oil.

A cargo volume of 85,606 tons comprising 45,274 tons of import and 40,332 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as four ships left the port.
