By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, March 5: Security forces on Wednesday foiled an attempt to blow up two bridges linking Dera Bugti with other areas.

According to police sources, Frontier Corps personnel, acting on a tip-off, raided the Patokh area and defused two bombs which had been planted under the bridges.

Police sources said that three suspected militants had been arrested and 40kg of high explosives and two remote-controlled bombs seized from the area during a search operation.

Meanwhile, staff of the Attock Cement Factory going in a van to Karachi narrowly escaped an explosion in the Sakran area of Hub. A bomb planted on a road exploded when the van was passing through the area.
