Sri Lanka to import cement, rice
COLOMBO, March 5: Sri Lanka plans to import cement from Pakistan through the recently set up State Trading Cooperative Wholesale Company Limited to counter the shortage of created by traders, authorities said.
A spokesman for the trade ministry said that Pakistan would supply cement and rice to Sri Lanka and the agreements to this effect would be signed shortly, local media reported on Wednesday.—PPI
