Two children among six killed in blast

By Saleem Shahid

QUETTA, March 2: Six people, two children among them, were killed and eight others were injured in an explosion in a shop near an Afghan refugee camp in Muslim Bagh area, some 130km north of here, on Sunday.

Police sources said the powerful blast rocked the shop selling explosives used for mining in the Malgadi Afghan refugee camp area.

The bodies of the victims and the injured were taken to the Muslim Bagh civil hospital.

“The condition of three of the injured is serious and they have been taken to Quetta,” police said.

The blast, according to police, was caused by a gas cylinder explosion.
