KARACHI, Feb 20: Four ships to load and unload various commodities arrived at the outer anchorage, the berthing activity was slow as only two container vessels were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Berth occupancy fell to 50 per cent at the port where five ships, Saudi Diriyah, Jamine, Gemini, Summer Fortune and Rio Gold, were busy in loading and unloading containers, palm oil and wheat.

A cargo volume of 29,732 tons comprising 23,264 tons of import and 6,468 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Denisse, Nedlloyd Europa, Qem Star, Summer Fortune, Jasmine and Saudi Diriyah left the port while Gemini was due to depart.
