PPP appealing to Sindhi voters’ emotions: Arbab

By Our Correspondent

MIRPURKHAS, Feb 13: President Pakistan Muslim League-Q and former Sindh Chief Minster Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has said that Pakistan People’s Party was facing two dilemmas. One is death of its leader Benazir Bhutto and the other is appointment of Asif Ali Zardari as co-chairman of the party.

Addressing an election gathering of PML-Q backed candidate for NA-228 Qasim Siraj Soomro in Umerkot town on Wednesday, he said that properties of PML-Q supporters were damaged as it was striving for the socio-economic development of the country.

Arbab appealed people to vote for PML-Q backed candidates Qasim Siraj Soomro, Rajvir Singh and Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah.

However he did not mention the name of Pir Noor Mohammad Shah, contesting for NA-228 from the platform of PML-F against Qasim Siraj Soomro.

He asked the people that if they wanted looting and ransacking of properties, then they should vote to PPP candidates. He alleged that PPP had started to emotionally blackmail the people to win sympathies of people.

He said that Benazir Bhutto had separated Asif Zardari from politics, but he neglected her wishes.

Speaker Sindh Assembly and PML-Q candidate for PS-69 Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah said that prestige of people of Sindh was defended under the able leadership of Dr Arbab Rahim.

District Naib Nazim Umerkot, Hamir Singh Sodho and Qasim Siraj Soomro also spoke on the occasion.
