KARACHI, Feb 12: Talented Nasir Mushtaq grew in stature when he picked up second men’s title of his career and first of the year with a crushing 6-0, 6-0 victory over unseeded M. Naseem in the Open Sindh ranking tennis championship at the DHA Sunset courts the other day.

Nasir, 17, had won his maiden men’s singles crown against a Hyderabad player last year. He has already established his credentials in juniors.

Seher Khwaja, a former national hard court champion, subdued Eman Malik 6-4, 6-4 to claim ladies’ singles title.

The juniors’ under-17 singles title went to Omer Shahid who accounted for Mustafa Zaidi 6-2, 6-4. However, the latter had some consolation when he annexed the boys’ under-15 crown by virtue of walkover against M. Ahmed.
