KARACHI Feb 12: Mobilink has launched in-flight mobile phone service onboard international flights.

Partnering with OnAir, the cellular operator offers GSM network onboard aircraft allowing passengers to make and receive calls and text messages and also enabling them to send and receive data over GPRS, says a press release.

ZURICH, Feb 12: Swiss banking giant Credit Suisse sought to reassure investors on Tuesday that it has weathered the storms of the US subprime home loan crisis after ending 2007 in the black.

Credit Suisse reported a 3.0 per cent gain in underlying net profit to five billion euros for last year despite huge commercial loan write-downs.

The bank reported net profit of 8.55 billion Swiss francs even after writing off 3.5 billion euros for the second half of the year.
