Port Qasim

KARACHI, Feb 12: Shipping activity remained active at the port where two vessels carrying containers were allotted berths at Qasim international Container Terminal on Monday.

Meanwhile, six ships also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 50 per cent at the port where five ships M.V. Ned Lloyd Africa, Cap Akritas, Al Salam, Al Rafal, Nepheli and Lake Lobe are currently occupying berths to load, offload containers, rice, wheat and canola seeds, respectively, during the last 24 hours.

Cargo handling during last 24 hours stood at 40,613 tons, comprising 30,818 tons imports and 9,795 tons exports, inclusive of containerise cargo carried in 1,611 containers (Teas) was handled during last 24 hours.
