KARACHI, Jan 31: Four ships carrying containers, general cargo and furnace oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and crude oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 80 per cent at the wharves where nine ships, Dymphna, Al-Wajba, Ibn Sina, John G.R, Xin Hua Men, Beluga Fantastic, Bunga Melati Dua, Olympic Serenity and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading various commodities.A cargo volume of 93,371 tons comprising 84,143 tons of import and 9,228 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Dymphna, Ibn Sina and Beluga Fantastic left the port while Bunga Melati Dua and John G.R were due to depart.
