KARACHI: Hafeez Jullundhri remembered


KARACHI, Jan 24: Rich tributes were paid to Abul Asar Hafeez Jullundhri at a ceremony held under the auspices of the Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) to mark his 108th birth anniversary. The ceremony was presided over by Prof Afaq Siddiqui.

Describing Hafeez Jullundhri as a versatile poet, he pointed out that he had more than 80 publications to his credit.

Najma Khan said he was the creator of the national anthem and Shahnama-i-Islam was one of his commendable achievements.—APP
