Police conduct flag march

ISLAMABAD, Jan 16: The city police carried out a flag march on different roads of the capital in connection with the security arrangements for Muharram on Wednesday.

The march was carried out to show that the police were alert to avert any untoward incident and maintain law and order in the city.

The march was led by Superintendent of Police East Nasir Aftab and SP West Dr Moin Masood and participated by subdivisional police officers, station house officers and mobiles of Rescue-15 and police stations.

The flag march started from D-Chowk and after passing through Aabpara, Zero Point, Garden Avenue, Sector I-8, I-10/1, Police Line Headquarters, Sector G-10/3, F-10, F-9, F-8, Margalla Road, Faisal Chowk, Daman-i-Koh Chowk, Sector F-7/4, Ayub Chowk and Express Chowk returned to D-Chowk and ended there.

The SDPOs and SHOs have been directed to be present at all processions and majalis in their respective areas and keep an eye on suspicious people and pillion riders.
