KARACHI: Railway operation improving

KARACHI, Jan 6: The Pakistan Railway Karachi Division after putting in strenuous efforts was able to operate 15 Mail and Express trains from Karachi for upcountry destinations.

DS Railway Mir Mohammed Khaskheli said the trains operated on Sunday included Khyber Mail, Tezgam, Allama Iqbal Express, Hazara Express, Awam Express, Millat Express, Bahauddin Zakaria Express, Shalimar, Balochistan Express, Super Express, Fareed Express, Karakoram Express and Pakistan Express. Sukkur Express is being run on alternate days due to the non- availability of coaches.

He said that Khushhal Khan Khattak Express would also be run within a day or two.

He said that all trains were running about five hours behind their schedule because of disruption in communication system between Karachi and Sukkur Railway Divisions.—APP
