KARACHI, Dec 30: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, arrested a gang of six miscreants in Orangi Town.
A Rangers statement issued on Sunday said that the arrests were made during the night between Saturday and Sunday.
It said that many illegal and unauthorised items were confiscated from their possession.
It was pointed out that the 34 Wing of Abdullah Shah Ghazi Rangers, while patrolling the Korangi Town, held six accused identified as Mohammad Nadeem, Mohammad Essa, Mohammad Adil, Ashraf Ali, Naghman Ali and Mohammad Younis.
According to the statement, they were trying to damage the government as well as private property and were harassing people.
The items confiscated from their possession include a Suzuki Alto (ALM-377), a motorcycle (KBT-0350), one rifle/repeater 44 bore, two magazines, 58 rounds, one pistol 30 bore with one magazine and 51 rounds, Rs1,790, a number of keys and four mobile phones.
All six miscreants were handed over to the police after initial interrogation, the statement said.—APP
