LAHORE, Dec 20: Fog continued to affect air, rail and road traffic on the second day on Thursday in parts of Punjab, making travel difficult at a time when a large number of people commute from one place to another to celebrate Eid.

Fog blanketed Lahore and other parts of the province on early Thursday and lasted for more than six hours. It considerably reduced the visibility level, forcing motorists to drive cautiously.

Six domestic and three international flights scheduled to reach or leave the Lahore airport in the morning arrived at their respective destinations several hours behind their schedule.

PIA’s flights scheduled to arrive from London and Dubai at 6:50am and 4:30am, respectively, were five and six hours late.

A number of trains arriving here and those leaving for south of the country through Sialkot-Narowal section were delayed for hours owing to foggy weather.

Karachi Express that was expected at 10am, arrived over 10 hours behind the schedule, Khyber Mail seven hours, Karakoram Express one hour, Hazara Express 10 hours, Awam Express three hours, Quetta Express one hour, Super Express 10 hours and Jinnah express was eight hours behind the schedule.
