KARACHI: China honours NED professor

KARACHI, Dec 13: The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China has presented a memento to Dr Iqbal Ali, a former faculty member of NED University of Engineering and Technology, in appreciation of his contribution to engineering education in China.

According to a press release, Dr Ali, a former professor and director of the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Research at the university, was invited by the Consul General, Chen Shanmin, to receive the memento on Wednesday.

Dr Ali is author of an engineering textbook that has been translated and published in Chinese and is being taught at many engineering universities of China.

In his presentation Mr Shanmin noted that Dr Iqbal Ali’s book was preferred over half-a-dozen books received from all over the world on the subject.
