Madugalle enraged

BANGALORE, Dec 12: Ranjan Madugalle, the ICC chief match referee, was left fuming on Wednesday when the organisers of the third and final Test between India and Pakistan switched on the lights, which was against the pre-series conditions agreed between the two countries.

Madugalle exchanged hot words with ex-Indian Test batsman Brijesh Patel, the honorary secretary of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), after the lights were switched on in order to complete the match.

The KSCA officials, highly embarrassed at their foolishness, finally had to switch off the towers and display a message saying that lights cannot be used as per the agreement between the two countries.
