BAHAWALPUR, Nov 27: Two convicts were hanged at New Central Jail here on Tuesday.

Muhammed Ismail was sentenced to death by Hasilpur additional sessions judge (ASJ) on July 22, 2002 for killing his mother-in-law Peeran Mai in Qaimpur police precincts on Aug 11, 1998.

A Chishtian ASJ convicted Abid Hussain on Aug 27, 2002 for killing Fateh Khan who resisted snatching of his bike in Sadar police precincts on May 11, 2000.

The apex courts upheld their sentences and their clemency petitions were also dismissed by the president. — Correspondent
