RP Singh, Sreesanth ruled out of first Test

By Our Sports Reporter

NEW DELHI, Nov 20: India received a double body blow on Tuesday after pacemen Rudra Pratap Singh and Shantakumaran Sreesanth pulled out of squad for Thursday’s opening Test against Pakistan at the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground.

Singh is troubled by a foot injury while Sreesanth, who didn’t attend the team’s training session in the afternoon, is suffering from an injured shoulder.

The Indian selectors have drafted in fellow pace bowler Munaf Patel to replace the injured duo.

Meanwhile, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian limited-overs cricket skipper, was declared fit for the Test.

Dhoni hurt his ankle during Sunday’s final One-day International in Jaipur.
