SHIKARPUR: Man killed in clash

SHIKARPUR, Nov 18: One Hakim Ali Meerali was killed in a clash between two groups in Meerali village near Bado in the Dakhan police station’s area on Sunday morning.

The villagers said that the groups clashed after Badaruddin Meerali and Hakim Ali Meerali quarrelled over cattle-grazing on cultivated farmland.

Police registered an FIR against 11 persons on the complaint of Haji Meenho Khan Meerali, father of the deceased.

FIR REGISTERED: Sultankot police on Sunday registered an FIR against seven people on charges of killing an army soldier during their attempt to commit robbery.

The FIR was lodged on the complaint of Abdul Rasheed Khuharo, brother of the soldier, Rafique Ahmed Khuharo, who was killed by some highwaymen near Dost Wah on Shikarpur-Jacobabad road late on Saturday night.

SUSPENDED: Shikarpur DPO Mansoor Mughal has suspended SHO Muneer Ahmed Bhurar and head constable Mohammad Punhal Bhayo of Sultankot police station for negligence of duty, particularly their failure to control highway robbery. Bandits had fired on a moving wagon a day before killing an army soldier.
