CHITRAL, Nov 12: District Nazim Maghfirat Shah has called upon the PIA management to revoke its decision of cancelling Islamabad-Chitral flight on the pretext of lack of passengers.

Talking to Dawn on Monday, he said the Lowari Pass would be closed any time in December severing the district’s link with other parts of the country.

He said there was a need for starting more flights to Chitral in the wake of the closure of the only route to the area.

He alleged that the PIA had shown the Islamabad-Chitral sector a failure as tickets had been denied to several intending passengers on many occasions in Islamabad. He asked authorities to rectify faults in the management.
