MIRPURKHAS: Rs370m being spent on Mirpurkhas water schemes

MIRPURKHAS, Nov 12: The Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering, Mirpurkhas, Arbab Masroor, has said that Rs370.274 million would be spent on nine water supply and drainage schemes in the district while work on Mirpurkhas water supply and drainage scheme was going on in full swing which was designed to meet requirements of the people till 2030.

He was briefing the members of the district council Mirpurkhas. The meeting, held here on Monday, was presided over by the District Naib Nazim Zafar Ahmed Kamali.

A member, Ameer Hassan Kaimkhani, complained that in Kot Ghulam Muhammad town, substandard material was used in the construction of water reservoirs and contractor with the connivance of concerned officers have committed embezzlement.

The members, Nawab Younus Talpur, Mir Zafarullah Talpur, Syed Ali Mardan Shah and Mohammad Aslam Kaimkhani, demanded of the council to black list such contractors.
