KARACHI, Nov 12: Four ships carrying containers, coal and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday. Meanwhile, two more container ships also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 50pc at the wharves where five ships, Saudi Diriyah, America, Progress-II, Al-Debaran and Eastern Tera, were busy in loading and unloading containers, coal, diesel oil and chemicals.

A cargo volume of 72,520 tons comprising 59,855 tons of import and 12,665 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Carina, America, Sinar Agra and Eastern Tera left the port while Saudi Diriyah was due to depart.
