KHAIRPUR: Policeman killed

KHAIRPUR, Nov 7: A police constable was killed and two others were injured in two different incidents in the district.

Reports said that constable Mohammad Hassan Khaskheli, 40, was on his duty at Mangi police picket on Wednesday when a speedy car hit him, injuring him seriously. He died on the way to hospital.The car driver, Jiand Shah, was also injured and admitted to a local hospital.

In another incident, five unidentified people injured two constables and snatched their two G-3 rifles.According to reports two police constables, Mumtaz Ali Junejo and Himmat Ali Chandio, were on duty at police picket Pir Hothi Nothi in the jurisdiction of Ahmedpur police station and were patrolling on a motorbike near village Bagho Maitlo on Tuesday evening.
