FRANKFURT, Nov 7: German industrial production edged higher in September from the previous month, locking in a solid performance for the third quarter of the year, figures released on Wednesday by the economy ministry showed.

Output inched up by 0.3 per cent on a monthly basis, following a revised jump of 1.9 per cent in August, provisional seasonally corrected data showed, while analysts polled by Thomson Financial News had expected a fall of 0.4 per cent.—AFP
