Beaconhouse record exciting victory

KARACHI, Oct 31: Beaconhouse School (Gulshan Campus) registered a nail-biting one-wicket victory over City School (Gulshan Chapter) in a match at the PCB Karachi Region Inter-school Cricket Championship at the PCB Academy ground on Wednesday.

Opener Waqas Khan cracked ten fours and three sixes in his 83 as the City School were bowled out for 146 in the 37th over.

Beaconhouse School, in reply, romped home for the loss of nine wickets in the 38th over. Salman Anis captured four wickets for 32. Shayan Jahangir top scored with 26 and Shahrukh Iqbal got 21.

In other matches, GBSS Model Colony beat Golden Model School by seven wickets at the Pak Star Ground while Comprehensive School overcame HB Malik School by four wickets at the TMC Ground.
