KARACHI, Oct 26: Work on the laying of a sewerage between Teen Hatti and Gulistan Club will be started soon and during the execution of the Rs60 million project, Nishtar Road will be closed to the vehicular traffic approaching from Martin Road, Teen Hatti and Jail Chowrangi.

A meeting held here on Friday to discuss the plan noted that the pipelines would be laid in UCs 1, 2 and 3 of Gulshan Town. The project would be completed by the end of December.

While Nishtar Road would remain closed, Jahangir Road-II and its link roads would be used as an alternative route.

The meeting was told that volunteers would be deployed in the area to assist traffic police and guide commuters.

The meeting decided to chalk out a strategy to execute the project in an efficient manner. Nazim of Gulshan Town Mohammad Wasey Jalil asked the authorities concerned for a report on the project at the earliest so that work could be started.—PPI
