NAWABSHAH, Oct 20: The People’s Lawyers Forum Nawabshah has condemned the attack on the caravan of the PPP chairperson and demanded of the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo motu notice and order an inquiry into the matter.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Saturday, district president of the PLF, Khan Mohammad Zardari, general secretary, Ayaz Ali Gopang, Ali Gul Lund, Sikandar Bhatti, and others said that some forces were afraid of popularity of Ms Bhutto and were hatching conspiracies to assassinate her.

They said that three million people from all over the country, including Northern areas, Fata and Kashmir, waited for more than 24 hours on roads of Karachi to welcome their beloved leader.

They said that PPP was the party of masses and had struggled for the restoration of democracy in the country. They said that Benazir Bhutto had held negotiations with the present regime for peaceful transaction of power towards real democracy and never went for any backdoor deals like others.

They vowed that each and every worker and supporter of the party would sacrifice his life for Ms Bhutto.

They said that despite all the cowardly threats, Ms Bhutto would remain in the country and would attend public meetings.

They demanded of the chief justice of Supreme Court to take notice of the gory incident in Karachi. They further demanded of the government to arrest the culprits involved in the incident within 24 hours.
