Returns filing

ISLAMABAD, Oct 18: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended timing for filing of income tax returns on Oct 20 in a bid to facilitate the taxpayers.

Under an arrangement with the State Bank of Pakistan

(SBP) and National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), the authorised branches would accept tax payments up to 4.00pm on Saturday — the last date of filing tax returns.

Accordingly, all Income Tax Offices will remain opened till 6.00pm and will receive tax returns and arrange collection of tax and facilitate taxpayers.

Earlier, the last date for filing of tax returns was September 30, 2007.
