Security plan finalised

ISLAMABAD, Oct 12: The government has declared 18 cities and towns of the country as ‘sensitive’ and finalised a plan for security arrangements during Eid.

A meeting held here on Friday under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao and attended by Interior Secretary Syed Kamal Shah and other officials concerned approved the security plan.

The ‘sensitive’ cities and towns include Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mardan, Charsadda, Kohat, Bannu, Hangu, Dera Ismail Khan, Multan, Dera Bugti and Gilgit.
