KARACHI, Oct 12: Pakistan great Jansher Khan disappointed his fans in his comeback match when he lost to world No.54 England’s Scott Handley in the first round of the London Open at the Cumberland Club in London on Thursday.
Playing in his first event in London since winning the Super Series Finals in March 1998, Jansher showed some signs of his past brilliance when he won the opening game. But Handley was quick to get the upper hand over the 38-year-old and won the match 9-11, 11-6, 11-6, 11-0.
Pakistan’s another player, Majid Khan, restored country’s some pride when he upset England’s top-seed Bradley Ball in straight games to claim an unexpected place in the last eight of the men’s PSA Tour event.
