Two women burnt over rivalry

MUZAFFARGARH, Sept 30: Eight people allegedly sprinkled furnace oil on six members of a peasant’s family sleeping at night and set two women of the family on blaze over old rivalry in Enayatpur locality near Khangarh on Saturday night.

Mohammad Shabir said he and five members of his family were sleeping when his eight opponents including Nazar Mohammad, Mohammad Manzoor, Mohammad Shafi and Mohammad Latif entered his house and sprinkled furnace oil on all of them. Later, the assailants set ablaze his wife Hayat Mai and daughter Rabia.

In the meantime, Sabir and other male members of his family woke up on which assailants fled. Hayat Mai and Rabia were taken to Nishtar Hospital in Multan in critical condition.
