GUJRANWALA, Sept 30: Around two-dozen shopkeepers including butchers and milkmen were arrested and fined heavily on Sunday by the district administration officials for overcharging during the holy month of Ramazan.

District Coordination Officer Ather Hussain Sialk constituted several teams accompanied by special magistrates to check price-hike. The teams raided several bazaars and apprehended 25 shopkeepers who were fined Rs2,000 to Rs400,000 on the spot. Those who defaulted on payment of fine were later sent to the jail.
