DADU: Demand for salary

DADU, Sept 30: Former employees of the Dadu Sugar Mills staged a demonstration outside the district nazim office here on Sunday in protest against the EDO, finance, for not releasing salaries of 70 employees who had been absorbed in different government departments.

Speaking on the occasion, the leaders of the protesters Bhai Khan Birhamani, Allahando Abro and Pir Mithal said that 70 employees of the mill had been provided jobs in the health, education, irrigation and works and services departments through a notification issued by the Sindh chief secretary.

However, they said, the executive district officer of the finance department had not been releasing their salaries over the past five months.
