US envoy calls on Maulana Fazl

ISLAMABAD, Sept 28: Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that Pakistan stands for peace and is against war or use of force to solve any problem.

He was talking to US Ambassador Anne W. Patterson who had called on him at the Parliament House here on Friday.

Maulana Fazl said that peace in Afghanistan was in the best interest of Pakistan.

He said political and economic instability in the neighbouring country was adversely affecting Pakistan.—APP
