MIRAMSHAH, Sept 24: Militants on Monday blew up the house of a pro-government tribal elder in the Zafar town area of Miramshah.

Malik Khan Asghar Khan has been accused by militants of supporting government policies.

Relatives of the tribal elder said he had received threats from the militants, warning him not to support the political administration.

They said that Malik Asghar and his family had already shifted to Peshawar. His house was completely destroyed and everything was reduced to ashes.

Meanwhile, two paramilitary soldiers were injured in a bomb explosion near Chashma bridge on Monday.

Sources said the soldiers were taking water from a spring when the bomb went off. They were taken to a military hospital in Miramshah.

Security forces arrested two people at Sargardan checkpost near Miramshah and shifted them to the paramilitary base for interrogation. Some weapons were also seized from them, the sources said.
