KARAK, Sept 23: The All Pakistan Clerks Association (Apca) will elect office-bearers for the next three-year term in Karak district on September 29th.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Hafiz Asmatullah, a candidate for the president’s slot and leader of the Saleem Yad panel, said that clerks were facing serious hardships due to rise in prices of essential items and low salaries. The unprecedented price hike had made it difficult for junior grade employees to make both ends meet, which was creating unrest among low-grade government employees, he said.
He claimed that the problems could only be overcome through unity in the ranks of the clerks’ community. The Saleem Yad panel believed in resolving the problems and restoring the self esteem of the clerks, he said.
He hoped that the panel would sweep the election and said the majority of the 450 clerks in the district had reposed confidence in their leadership.
