KARACHI: Rs1m reward for clue to killers of protocol officer

KARACHI, Sept 23: The Sindh government has announced Rs1 million reward for a clue leading to the arrest of the killers of Iqbal Hussain, one of the protocol officers of the prime minister.

Iqbal Hussain, 55, was shot dead and his body was recovered from a deserted area in Gulshan-i-Maymar on Sept 11.

A special investigation team has also been constituted by the Provincial Police Officer Ziaul Hasan Khan, sources told Dawn on Sunday. Headed by DIG Investigation Manzoor Mughal, the committee comprises SP Special Branch Iqbal Dara, SP CID Raja Umar Khattab and SP AVCC Farooq Awan. It will hold meetings on daily basis to review progress of the investigation.
