2 women killed

SWABI, Sept 15: A woman who had turned down a jirga request to pardon her husband’s killers was shot dead on Saturday along with her sister in the Shahmansoor village.Ms Shahyiasta and her sister Zubaida were killed in their father’s home. Police said Ms Shahyiasta’s husband, Taseerur Rehman, had been killed a few years ago.

They said Mr Taseer’s brothers wanted to resolve the matter with the murderers. A jirga had held talks with the two parties but the widow had rejected the settlement.
