LAHORE, Sept 12: A two-member security delegation of the South African Cricket Board is expected to arrive in Lahore on Thursday to inspect the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) security arrangements for the upcoming home series against the Protease from Sept 26.
On Friday, the delegation comprising Goolam Raja and Sean Gallahar will be briefed on security measures in Lahore and Karachi the next day.
There will be one Test each in Lahore and Karachi, before the five-match one-day series.
South Africa had already confirmed the itinerary of the series in July this year but the recent bomb blasts in Pakistan forced them to reconsider the tour programme after which the PCB shifted the one-day matches from Peshawar and Rawalpindi to Lahore and Karachi.
Meanwhile, PCB’s Director Cricket Operations Zakir Khan will be leaving for India on Sept 17 alongwith senior police official Sohail Khan to inspect the venues there for the forthcoming series between the two countries scheduled for November and December.
