KARACHI, Sept 12: Nine ships carrying DAP fertiliser, chemicals and to load cement and ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where seven ships, Harmony, Oel Shreyas, APL Sokhna and Nodwoge to unload and load containers, Five Ocean to load coke, Golden Arrow and Mutha Supreme to load clinker and cement were berthed.
Three vessels, Franfurt Express, Mol Ability and Banglar Mookh departed on Wednesday, while Golden Arrow-2, APL Sokhna, Oel Shreyas and Al-Barakah are due to sail out on Thursday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active where a total tonnage of 0.106m tons comprising 30,045 tons of export cargo including cement and rice and 75,366 tons of import cargo was handled on Wednesday.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Adiatic Arrow to load 9,000 tons of cement, Oriental Bouguet to load 2,000 tons of ethanol, Oriental Salvia with chemicals, Eric G. Gibson, Bunga Delima, Comorin Pride, Kota Ganteng with containers, Med Barrara with coal and Ocean Luck with 31,805 tons of DAP fertiliser.
