By A Reporter

KARACHI, Sept 7: Judicial Magistrate, Central, Abdul Zahoor Chandio on Friday directed investigation officer Mohammad Ashraf of Taimuria police station to submit more details to the court about the death of a couple on the next day of their wedding.

The officer was on Sept 3 issued a notice asking him to appear in court and inform it about the progress made in the investigation.

Accordingly, the IO on Friday submitted a report containing the information collected soon after the groom, Mohammad Azeem Shaikh, and his bride, Beenish, were found dead in their North Nazimabad apartment on Aug 11, 2007. He stated that he had so far recorded statements of 17 witnesses and was conducting further investigation.

He submitted that no one was formally nominated as accused in the case. He told the court that the postmortem report would be submitted later.

The court observed that the IO’s report was incomplete, and directed him to submit more details on Sept 11.
